Enrichment at
Music Federation
The purpose of enrichment is to provide extended learning prospects – it gives pupils the opportunity to understand concepts with greater depth, breadth and complexity, while also helping students to pursue their own areas of interest and strengths. Music Federation has a comprehensive menu of enrichment to engage and develop our pupils. The offer changes each half term. Sessions are after school hours. Our enrichment offer is part of our commitment to 24/7 learning opportunity.
Library Club
Library club aims to develop a love of reading, as pupils will have the opportunity to look at books from a variety of genres and take ownership of what they choose to read. In every session, staff will share some of their favourite stories to promote an enthusiasm and passion for reading. The school’s library is also a wonderful place to learn as pupils can curl up with a book inside our futuristic pods, within a calming, sensory environment. The club will allow the pupils to talk about the books that they read and engage in practical activities such as bookmark making and role play. Each week, they will be able to borrow books from our school library to take home and enjoy with their family.
Art Club
Taking part in an Art club is a fabulous way for pupils to be creative in a variety of ways. They will have opportunities to explore a range of skills such as drawing, painting, printing and sculpture. Art and creativity cultivates well-being and can support children to manage their feelings. Therefore, they will be encouraged to express themselves while trying new Art skills in a fun way. The artist Pablo Picasso said “Every child is an artist” I truly believe this, and each week so will your child.
Drama Club
Drama promotes communication skills, teamwork, dialogue, negotiation and socialisation. In Drama club, pupils will be given the opportunity to enhance these skills through improvisation, movement, freeze frames and other dramatic mediums. In each session, pupils will build up to writing and performing their own short piece at the end of each half term.
Multisports Club
During multi-sports club, we aim to improve our sporting ability, social skills and teamwork through a variety of sporting activities. Being physically active is a key factor in maintaining a healthy living, improving resilience and achieving our sporting potential. Over the course of the year, we will take part in team sports, small sided games, individual skill sessions and many more.
EYFS/ KS1 Crafts Club
In craft club we aim to promote creativity, imagination and confidence in an explorative and fun environment! Pupils will design, construct and decorate items linked to cultural festivals and seasons using a wide range of materials and techniques. During the last week of craft club, pupils will present an exhibition of their decorative items to their peers and staff of Low Road before taking them home.
DT Club
By attending DT club, pupils will develop their knowledge and understanding of the skills needed to plan, design and create their own product. We are also improving communication and teamwork skills to work as a team.

Majorettes Club
During Majorettes club, there is an opportunity to explore a new dance style. The children learn different baton techniques and build upon these each week. The techniques can be challenging but this encourages resilience and a positive mind set. During each session the children are encouraged to build confidence by performing the skills in front of each other and each child is celebrated. At the end of the half term parents are invited to watch a performance, which builds excitement and gives a purpose to each session. Children gain a sense of pride from learning this new skill, a joy to see.
Science Club
Science Club is a platform for pupils to realise their scientific interest and explore their scientific skills – all whilst having fun! The club aims to engage all children by building on existing knowledge and encouraging them to work scientifically! The club offers more than facts about science, but gives the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the world around us, and to create a lasting love of science. Science itself is fascinating, and the club will only expand on this topic! Each week, children have the opportunity to perform simple tests and widen their scientific knowledge.
Orienteering Club
“The senses, being the explorers of the world, open the way to knowledge.” – Maria Montessori
Orienteering is an exciting outdoor adventure sport as well as a problem-solving indoor sport. Pupils develop problem solving skills through a range of challenges with the aim to work as a team effectively. Pupils will work in pairs and small groups to plan, solve, reflect and improve on strategies when presented with a set of instructions or map to navigate. They will learn to be inclusive of others and work collaboratively to overcome challenges and decide on the best route to take. Throughout the club, pupils will learn to orientate a map, identify key symbols and follow routes.
Fun Phonics
Fun Phonics club gives our pupils opportunities to practice and develop their reading skills in fun and creative ways such as learning songs and playing games. Pupils will explore and learn Phase 3, 4 and 5 sounds and will be challenged to identify those sounds within words. A Phonics Superstar will be chosen each week and parents are welcome to join these sessions.
Computing Club
Computing club provides an exciting opportunity to further develop the digital and creative skills learnt during Computing lessons, whilst also getting to use new apps that aren’t used during school hours. The aim of the sessions, besides having plenty of fun, is to continue to show the pupils the wide range of uses of technology, particularly for creative outlets such as music production, video game design and videography.
