What breathes life into Music Federation schools is our unrelenting drive to offer our pupils lifelong memories and learning opportunities in partnership with some incredible organisations such as Class Dynamix and Opera North. Studio 50

In our quest to ensure a broad offer to all pupils in the federation we have recently completed Studio 50. Studio 50 makes use of an existing space and structure in the large hall on the Windmill site to offer pupils the opportunity to develop their understanding of visual production, audio production, DMX application, DMX to audio waveform automation, sound reinforcement, microphone application and handling, stage/ production management and safe handling and maintenance of the audio visual facility.

We are the dreamers of dreams...

We wanted to compose a song that was grandiose, epic and that still carried a 21st century current sound. We were very proud of the outcome. We also wanted to produce a film that would seamlessly meld the 2 schools together in one cinematic piece of art – whilst celebrating everything that is awesome about this magical community.

This project even involved virtual sessions due to the pandemic, vocal recordings on both sites and drone footage alongside handheld close-range shots.

We believe what we created here was something that was unifying, inspirational and truly captures the unique spirit of the schools. Anyway, we’ll let you be the judge of that. Watch the video
